The Cincinnati/Dayton Division of Kroger is proud to announce the completion and grand opening of the newest member of the Kroger Marketplace team in Mt. Orab. The Mt. Orab Marketplace will open its doors at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 6 at 210 Sterling Run Boulevard.

Federal court upholds expungement of Hillsboro man's murder conviction

"A split federal appeals court upheld the expungement of a former death row inmate - a Hillsboro native - in a rape and murder case that led to Kentucky's first death sentence after states resumed executing inmates in 1976," according to a report from The Associated Press.

Horne to face Rosenberger, Dawson in general election

In the Democratic race for Ohio's 86th House District, Bill Horne received 1,001 votes, and Laura Curliss received 479 votes. Pike County reported unofficial totals had Horne with 760 votes and Curliss with 464 votes. Clinton County had unofficial reports at Curliss with 508 votes and Horne with 256 votes.

Final unofficial: 4-H, soil and water levies voted down

With all 31 precincts reporting, unofficially, the Ohio State University Extension Cooperative was voted down with 3,508 votes against and 2,440 votes for the levy. The Soil and Water Conservation District Levy was voted down, with 3,848 votes against and 2,030 for.

Former pastor indicted on 17 counts

A former Greenfield pastor has been indicted on 17 counts after he allegedly stole funds from the Good Shepherd Church.
On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, a grand jury in Highland County Common Pleas Court issued a 17-count indictment against, James A. Blaine, age 61, currently of San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of Greenfield, related to a theft case involving the Good Shepherd Church in Madison Township, where he formerly served as pastor.

200 books donated to Adena for young patients

With titles like, "Little Boy Blue" and "My First Bible Stories," some 200 new and gently used books have found a home in the Adena Medical Center, to be used by young patients there. In a heartwarming act of generosity, three boxes of children's books were donated by the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center Teacher's Association to Adena Health Foundation for pre-kindergarten to fourth-graders who are patients at the medical center.
