Appeals court upholds Fayette County decision

The Twelfth District Court of Appeals has affirmed the conviction of a Fayette County man for domestic violence, a felony of the third degree. Bradley R. Kingery was convicted of domestic violence after his girlfriend, at the time, reported that he repeatedly attacked her and threatened her following an argument. He was sentenced to a prison term of three years. Kingery appealed to the Twelfth District and argued that the evidence did not support his conviction and that the trial court improperly admitted evidence at trial.

Writing for a unanimous court, Judge Robert P. Ringland found that the state presented sufficient evidence to support Kingery's conviction and that the trial court did not err in admitting evidence at trial. Presiding Judge H.J. Bressler and Judge Robert A. Hendrickson concurred in the opinion.

The decision of the Twelfth District Court of Appeals affirmed Kingery's conviction for domestic violence.
