The non-conference Highland County showdown was more like a roller-coaster ride Monday evening, as the two teams had their highs and lows with momentum swings throughout the non-conference battle, where eventually it was McClain holding on for a 51-45 victory at Lynchburg-Clay High School.

Tuesday evening, the McClain Lady Tigers played their first game of the 2025-26 season as they lost in non-conference action against the host Logan Elm Lady Braves by a 48-40 score.

The McClain boys basketball team opened the 2025-26 season with a convincing 72-48 victory over Paint Valley Wednesday night in Greenfield.

After a 48-40 opening-game loss at Logan Elm Monday night, the McClain Lady Tigers bounced back Wednesday with an impressive 54-25 victory over non-conference foe Paint Valley.

The McClain Tigers for the 2025-26 season are a group of “hungry guys,” according to head coach Jarrod Haines, coming off a season where the foundation began to take form to get the program back to where the head coach wants it to be.
