The Auxiliary at Adams County Regional Medical Center (ACRMC) continues to make a meaningful impact on patient care and hospital services. In 2025, the dedicated group of volunteers donated $20,899 back to the hospital to support important programs, equipment needs, and patient services.

The Lynchburg-Clay Board of Education recently recognized Allyson Carraher and Mahalia Baker for their Red Ribbon winning essays.

The investments announced by the administration on Tuesday include $33 billion for construction of a massive natural gas power plant in Portsmouth, Ohio, that would generate up to 9.2 gigawatts of electricity, enough to supply the needs of approximately 7.4 million homes, making it the largest gas-fired power generation facility in the world, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Two students’ art will be showcased in an upcoming exhibit in Columbus sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association. The works in the upcoming show were created as part of Youth Art Month in Ohio, which was in December.

The Greenfield Middle School 8th-grade basketball team finished their season on Saturday, Feb. 14 as Frontier Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champions.

The event will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Greenfield Fraternal Order of Eagles 1275 N. Washington Greenfield. Local vendors from the area will be displaying and selling their crafts and antiques. 

Former Democrat President Barack Hussein Obama was often called the "Deporter-in-Chief," as the Obama administration removed more than 3 million illegal aliens over eight years, the highest number in U.S. history. I cannot recall much of anything even discussed about Obama's millions and millions of deportations of illegal aliens. No protests. No riots against law enforcement.

While the loads of snow and frigid temps meant that not everyone that was scheduled to have presentations at the Jan. 26 Greenfield school board meeting got to be there, that didn’t mean that gifts for school board members were unable to be present.

Greenfield Historical Society's Feb. 1, Sunday dinner has been postponed to Feb. 8 because of the weather.  

Downtown Greenfield will be buzzing with love this February as Main Street Downtown Greenfield hosts the annual Love Local Sweetheart Stroll on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Lynchburg Lions Club held its regular dinner meeting Jan. 19 at the Lions Club building in Lynchburg. The club heard presentations from District Gov. Rachelle Powers, First District Gov. Ben Dunn and Second Vice District Gov. Tony Winner. 

Main Street Downtown Greenfield, located in Greenfield, celebrated the installation of the Path to Freedom Walking Tour with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on Jan. 15.

The SO Consortium (also known as Area 1 Workforce Development Board) in Scioto County has been declared “unauditable” for the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, due to inadequate financial records to complete an audit.

The Lynchburg Lions Club and Lions Clubs International sponsored their annual Peace Poster contest again this fall.
