The Lynchburg Lions Club presented a check for $10,000 to the Village of Lynchburg for use in the new community park near the Covered Bridge.

The Lions Club donates to many community service projects throughout the year and most of the funds are generated from the annual Christmas candy sale in November and December.

The club wanted to assist with the  park development that included new restrooms, shelter house, walking track, foot bridge, and other additions to the park area. The purpose of the Lions is to serve local, state, and international communities and to be sure all money earned is used for service.

The Lynchburg Club has donated to more than 30 charitable projects during the past year. The Club is always looking for new members and anyone interested in becoming a Lion should contact any member for information.
