After the conclusion of the 1970 football season, Coach Paul Orr of Greenfield McClain submitted his resignation as head football coach in order to concentrate on his position as director of athletics. He was replaced by Jay Knierim. Knierim hailed from Michigan. He had been head football coach at Marysville, Ohio for two or three years.

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats are moving on in the 2010 Division IV SE District Sectional tournament as they had a strong offensive output in the middle quarters for a 46-38 victory over Portsmouth Notre Dame, at Northwest High School Wednesday evening.
