    Ohio State (32-2) beat Penn State, 71-60, Sunday and received the No. 1 overall seed in the 68-team NCAA Div.

    The Whiteoak Wildcats were able to put together a rally, but not able to put together enough points to overcome a big run by the Manchester Greyhounds, Saturday in the Division IV SE District Finals. WHS came close at times to catching the Greyhounds but just couldn't get over the hump, falling to their Southern Hills League counterpart 63-48 at the Convocation Center, on the campus of Ohio University.

The Lions held the lead with 3:00 remaining in the Division IV SE District Final, but a series of events led to the South Webster Jeeps rolling away with the district championship, defeating the Lions 60-52 at the Convocation Center, in Athens on the campus of Ohio University.

    In the playoff game, Rogan took the very first play from scrimmage 55 yards straight through the middle of the WCH defense. The score was 8-0 almost before the Blue Lions got warmed up. Urbana totally dominated this game, winning by a score of 41-13. Washington’s fine season had come to an abrupt end.
