Seven players selected to All-District Softball

The Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association recently released their 2011 All-District teams for all divisions from this past season.

Highland County, who is apart of the Southeast District, had six players from two high schools make the list, including two on the first team in their respective divisions.

In Division II, McClain junior Jenna Perie was a first team player. In Division IV, Fairfield junior Lauren Larrick was selected to the first team.

Also in Division II, Megan Dettwiller and Cierra Landrum, both from McClain, were selected to the second team. McClain's Frankie Wise was honorable mention.

In Division IV, Fairfield's Heather Huff and Abby Thackston were named second team, and Whitney Hanenkrat was honorable mention.

No player from Highland County was selected All-Ohio by the coaches this season.[[In-content Ad]]
