On Sunday, Dec. 19 in their first year the Greenfield McClain Youth Wrestling Tigers (GMYWT) competed in the Cobra Classic in Washington Court House.

It was a night of missed opportunities for the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs Tuesday night. Not gaining rebounds, missing shots in the paint and costly turnovers proved to be just too much for the home team to overcome, as they dropped their non-league contest to the Blanchester Wildcats, 70-56.

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs came close to topping the Georgetown Lady G-Men Monday evening but came up short in the non-league affair, falling 51-44 at Georgetown High School.

Scoring in double figures in three quarters wasn't enough for the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats, as they dropped their sixth game of the season by a score of 60-49 to the Manchester Lady Greyhounds, Saturday afternoon.

The McClain Tigers continued to improve with their offensive output Saturday night at Miami Trace High School, but the Panthers continued their winning ways, defeating the Tigers 69-56.

The Hillsboro Lady Indians dropped their fifth straight game to start the season Friday night, falling to defending seven-time South Central Ohio League champion Miami Trace, 59-23.

On Saturday, Dec. 18, the McClain wrestling team competed in the Paint Valley Super Duals. Despite winning 27 of their 40 matches, MHS found it hard to overcome the fact that they were forfeiting 6 of the 14 weight classes.
