Tuesday and Wednesday saw the Hillsboro Lady Indians gain consecutive wins over the Miami Trace Lady Panthers in a home-and-home series, resulting in HHS defeating MTHS 7-0, then by a 9-7 score the following day.

Going into the seventh inning on Tuesday evening (April 15), the Hillsboro Indians held a two-run lead, needing just three outs to secure a Frontier Athletic Conference win. That scenario was on the table as the Indians had a fifth-inning surge of scoring with clutch hitting and base running that left them ahead by a 7-5 score.

Saturday saw the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs split a tri-doubleheader, as they lost to the Miami Trace Lady Panthers and defeated the South Webster Lady Jeeps at LCHS.

The Hillsboro Indians played their final regular-season game of 2024-25 Saturday, traveling to Fayette County and facing the undefeated Miami Trace Panthers. The Indians lost the away game by a 67-53 score, putting the MTHS Panthers at 21-0 overall to conclude their regular season.

It wasn’t their prettiest game of the year, and the free-throw line wasn’t kind all night, but the McClain Lady Tigers finished off an undefeated slate in the Frontier Athletic Conference by defeating Miami Trace 43-34 Wednesday night in Greenfield and will now receive the symbolic gold basketball.

The Miami Trace Panthers extended their undefeated season Friday night in Greenfield with an impressive 52-33 victory over McClain which improved their overall record to a perfect 15-0.

The Hillsboro Lady Indians continued their strong 2024-25 season with a Frontier Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon, defeating the visiting Miami Trace Lady Panthers 56-41.

The Division II and III football All-Ohio teams were announced Wednesday by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. The All-Ohio teams are based on nominations from the seven districts of the OPSMA, which vote on the all-district teams from regular-season accomplishments.

The Wilmington College women’s basketball team begins their 2024-25 season Friday night on the road at Hope College at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first time these two programs are meeting since at least the 1990-91 season.
