Outfielder Will Benson of the Cincinnati Reds has been selected the National League Player of the Week presented by Chevrolet, and third baseman Miguel Vargas of the Chicago White Sox has been named the American League Player of the Week presented by Chevrolet. The announcements were made earlier this week on MLB Network.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their 2025 Division III All-Region teams. Wilmington College had one player represented in sophomore second baseman Jocelyn Franz as Third Team All-Region VII.
Ohio High School Athletic Association member schools have passed all 13 proposed revisions to the OHSAA Constitution and Bylaws. The OHSAA’s annual referendum voting period was from May 1 through May 15 and ended at 4 p.m. last Thursday. Each member school has one vote on each referendum item, which is cast by the high school principal.
