On Jan. 13, 2010, Desiree Green of Springer Road in Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Mitsubishi, was attempting to back from a parking space in the Southern State parking lot and struck a 2001 ISU that was backing and was being driven by Kitsy Lee of U2 62 in Hillsboro.

The Sardinia-Mowrystown Lions Club will co-sponsor a no-limit Texas Hold'em Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Washington Township Park Building (formerly the Lions Park Club House) located at 7731 Tri-County Highway, Sardinia.

Fairfield drops non-league contest
The Washington Lady Blue Lions kept the undefeated streak against teams from Highland County in tact Saturday, as they defeated the Fairfield Lady Lions 58-28 at Grandle Gymnasium.
