SSCC respiratory care program honors 2009 graduates

Southern State Community College's third graduating class in the respiratory care program was honored during a ceremony held Dec. 12, 2009. The program, which began in 2005, graduated its first class in 2007.

Fire claims life of Blanchester resident
At around 5 a.m. Wednesday, Blanchester Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a fire at the Friendship Acres apartment complex at 905 E. Cherry St., Blanchester. A police officer was the first to arrive and found the building engulfed in heavy smoke. He was joined by arriving firefighters and the Clinton County Deputy Sheriff in attempting to evacuate the residents of the building. Those efforts were hampered by the fact that some residents are wheelchair bound.

Everything went the way of the Washington Lady Blue Lions Tuesday evening as they controlled the offensive and defensive side of the court, soundly defeating South Central Ohio League foe McClain 52-32.
