Final defendants apprehended in 38-person Chillicothe drug trafficking case plead guilty
Daniel Vance Walls, 45, of Bainbridge and Mark L. May, 51, of Peebles, have pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana from late 1997 through March 2008; and attempted possession with intent to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana on Oct. 17, 2004. They are the last of 38 defendants apprehended due to charges filed in a series of indictments beginning in Oct. 2004 through Feb. 2009, as part of a large-scale drug trafficking investigation in south central Ohio. All others apprehended as part of the investigation have pleaded guilty.

NCB, FSB reports net income of $3.4 million in fourth quarter 2009
Hillsboro, OH (February 17, 2010) —Today, NCB, FSB, a federally chartered savings bank dedicated to serving cooperatives, reported a net income of $3.4 million for the fourth quarter 2009.   NCB, FSB also reported total assets of $1.6 billion and total deposits of $1.2 billion as of December 31, 2009.
Physician offers new procedure to manage back pain
Highland District Hospital welcomes Amol Soin, M.D., a pain management specialist, to its Outpatient Specialist Services. Dr. Soin uses non-narcotic treatments and minimally invasive procedures for pain management. He also consults with patients and therapists at the hospital’s Center for Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine.
Band Boosters present "Murder, They Note"
The Greenfield Band Boosters invite you to a Murder Mystery Dinner - a night of music, mayhem and intrigue, Friday, March 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the Greenfield Cafetorium.  All participants will be guests and actors in the event as they match wits with a criminal  mastermind.  The plot revolves around a new, multi-national high school band about to kick off an around-the-world tour.  But someone has a diabolical plan that could ruin the tour and lead to “murder.”
