The luck of 11 straight wins came to a close Thursday in Greenfield as the McClain Lady Tigers were knocked out of the Division II SE District Sectional tournament. MHS allowed 12 hits and 12 runs while committing three errors in a 12-1 six-inning loss to Sheridan.

Being able to gain momentum in the final innings has become a trademark of sorts for the McClain Tigers this season. At times, they were able to gain the late-inning wins with grit and determination that went unmatched, but on Thursday afternoon at Mitchell Park, the "McClain Magic" ran out.
