14 Highland County players earn All-SCOL honors

The 2010 All-South Central Ohio League baseball and softball teams were announced with 14 Highland County players earning league honors.

Leadership Clinton volunteer project will further enhance Hale Arboretum
Thanks to a volunteer project team from the 2010 Leadership Clinton class, the Hale Hospital arboretum next to Clinton Memorial Hospital will be further enhanced this spring with the addition of a natural trail that will connect the Main Street sidewalk on the north side of CMH's campus with the Luther Warren Peace Trail on the south side of the campus.

The Good Shepherd Church will host the Greenes in concert Sunday evening, May 23. The Greenes, from Indian Trail, North Carolina will be in concert at Good Shepherd Church in Greenfield, beginning at 6:30 p.m. May 23.
State Your Cause ready to Rock on the Range
State Your Cause, a Columbus-area rock band that includes two Highland County native sons, will perform from noon-12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at this year's Rock on the Range at Columbus Crew Stadium. State Your Cause was formed by bass player Danny Zeid and guitarist Deepan Rajah. They are joined by drummer Matt Young, and the Scott brothers.

Highland County celebrates Special Olympics
Highland County Special Olympics Track and Field Day was held Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at McClain High School. Athletes from Hills and Dales Training Center, Bright Local, Fairfield, Hillsboro, Lynchburg-Clay and Greenfield schools competed in events such as basketball skills, volleyball, various track races and more.

So there will be no Triple Crown winner this year - the last one being in 1978. And three weeks from now the Belmont, the last race of the Triple Crown, will be be anyone's race to win, or so it will seem.
