A Texas-based company was chosen as the highest and best bid to frack about 170 acres of Leesville Wildlife Area during this month’s Ohio Oil and Gas Land Management Commission meeting.

Members of the 153rd Basic Peace Officer Class received training certificates during a graduation ceremony held earlier this month at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy. The 48 graduates will now assume duties as peace officers for 29 Ohio agencies.
