    Wilmington wins first game of 2013 with 49-0 defeat of Hillsboro

    The Wilmington Hurricane scored three first-quarter touchdowns and built a 29-0 halftime lead, as they defeated the Hillsboro Indians, 49-0, on Friday the 13th on the Wilmington College campus' Townsend Field at Williams Stadium.

    As expected, the Hillsboro Lady Indians and the Clinton-Massie Lady Falcons forced great effort from each other for 80 minutes, but for CM, they achieved just a little bit more as they defeated host Hillsboro, 2-0 Tuesday evening at Richards Memorial Field.

    A much more physical Hillsboro Indians football team showed up Friday night as the Tribe hosted the Goshen Warriors from Clermont County. After losing their season opener to an explosive Western Brown team, Hillsboro battled the Warriors for four quarters Friday, before falling, 25-12, in a flag-filled contest.

    Tigers break away for win over Hillsboro
    For one half, the rivalry match between the Hillsboro Indians and the McClain Tigers had a look that it was going to come down to the wire. But a second half that was dominated by the Tigers erased any of those thoughts, as they added four goals in the final 40 minutes for a 5-1 win over the Indians.
