Shawnee State University’s Bryce Coreno of Piketon presented his own research “Engaging Students with Local History Projects in the Social Studies Classroom” at this year’s Celebration of Scholarship conference.

A Piketon native, freshman Joshua Cummins found out he qualified for Shawnee State University’s Free Tuition program when applying to college.

The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) of Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) will be hosting their annual business summit event in-person this year Wednesday, May 24 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Twin Lakes Resort (273 Tackett Lane in Piketon).
