It took only one goal and a lot of aggressive defense, but the Fairfield Lions overcame their past in district semifinal games with a one-goal win over the No. 7 seeded Eastern Lady Warriors in their Division III SE District Semifinal game Monday night at Hillsboro High School.
Going into extra innings, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs suffered a tough loss on the road against the Eastern Warriors, as they fell in eight innings to the hosts by a 6-5 score in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.
The Eastern High School boys and girls bowling coaches, Bob Rau and Andy Dotson, were honored as Southern Hills Athletic Conference Boys and Girls Bowling Coaches of the Year.
