Fairfield dominates Manchester in 3 sets
Tuesday saw the Fairfield Lady Lions win on the road on Southern Hills Athletic Conference competition by defeating the Manchester Lady Greyhounds in three sets.
FHS defeated the Lady Greyhounds by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-12.
The Lady Lions totaled 33 kills in the win, with Jobey Hattan having 13 of them, followed by McKinlley Cox and Mackenzie Anderson with five each. With four kills each were Kyla Thomas and Jorja May. Having one kill apiece were Mya McIntosh and Jaeden Drury.
FHS also collected 15 aces as a team, as Alyssa Bales totaled five, Anderson had three, and with two each were Hattan, Kinsey Drury and Kelsie Crowder. Cox finished with one ace.
Finishing with one total block each were May and Anderson.
Hattan finished as the digs leader with 29, while next was Anderson with 12, and Bales totaled 10 digs. Also with digs were Crowder (eight), Cox (four), Kinsey Drury (four), May (two) and Paisley Stahlhut (two).
The Lady Lions also had 30 assists as a team, as Crowder totaled 23 of the 30. Having two assists each were Stahlhut and Cox. Thomas totaled one assist, as did Anderson and Kinsey Drury.
Leading in receptions were Anderson with 15 and Hattan with 10, while the rest of the receptions were recorded by Bales (nine), Kinsey Drury (three), May (two) and Cox (one).

Lady Mustangs take down Lady Warriors
Wednesday was a winning evening for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs, as they won a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game in three sets against the Eastern Lady Warriors at EHS.
LCHS defeated Eastern by scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-21.
The Lady Mustangs saw Addy Carraher total 10 of the 31 kills by the team, and next was Kylie O’Connor with six kills. Having five kills each were Mattie Magee and Halle Greene. Avery Shope finished with four kills, and with one kill was Joslyn Rockey.
There were 11 aces by the Lady Mustangs in the conference win, as Ava McLaughlin had five, and with two each were Rockey and O’Connor. Carraher and Shope each had one ace.
O’Connor led LCHS with four total blocks, and Greene chipped in with a block. Shope was the digs leader with 17, while Rockey had 13 digs. McLaughlin had nine digs, and with five digs each were Carraher and Ava Doughman. Greene finished with four digs, and Morgan Baker added two digs to the team total of 55 digs.
The assists leader for LCHS in the win was McLaughlin with 16, while Carraher had eight. The rest of the assists were collected by Rockey (three), Shope (one) and O’Connor (one).
Rockey led the Lady Mustangs with 25 receptions, and Shope finished with 12. Doughman had seven receptions, Carraher totaled two receptions and McLaughlin totaled one.

Hillsboro earns non-conference road win at Wilmington
The Lady Indians of Hillsboro left Clinton County with a non-conference win Wednesday, as they won in five sets against the host Wilmington Lady Hurricane by a 3-2 team score.
HHS won sets two (25-14), four (26-24) and five (15-13). WHS defeated HHS in set one 25-18 and set three by a 25-10 score.
The Lady Indians were led in kills by Samantha Tipton with 13, while Ryan Wagoner totaled six kills. Tylee Davis also collected six kills, and with four kills was Camryn Spruell. Other kill totals included Allie Roush (two) and Kayla Seeling (one).
The Lady Indians also finished with eight aces, as Tipton totaled four aces, Jadi Howland had two, and with one ace each were Seeling and Wagoner.
HHS also finished with seven total blocks, with Tipton leading the way with five, while Wagoner and Spruell each had one total block.
Another stat for the Lady Indians was 96 digs as a team, as five players had double-figure dig totals in the match. Davis finished with a team-best 27 digs, followed by Wagoner with 19, Howland with 15, Addison Huff with 15, and Seeling totaled 12 digs. HHS also had Roush with four digs, Tipton totaled two digs and Spruell finished the match with two digs.
The assists leader was Seeling with 25, and with one assist each were Wagoner and Spruell.
Howland ended the match with 24 receptions, Wagoner had 22, Huff ended with 13 receptions and Davis totaled 12.

Lady Lions win in 3 sets over Lady Dragons
Earning a Southern Hills Athletic Conference win on Thursday, the Fairfield Lions took just three sets to defeat the host West Union Lady Dragons.
Fairfield won by scores of 25-16, 25-08 and 25-14.
The Lady Lions had two players in double figures in kills, as senior Jobey Hatton had 15 and sophomore Remi Moon totaled 11. Also with kills were Mackenzie Anderson (four), Kelsey Clark (three), Paisley Stahlhut (one) and McKinley Cox (one).
Alyssa Bales totaled 12 aces for the Lady Lions, and with two each were Moon and Hatton, while Clark finished with one ace.
The digs leader was Hattan with 17, followed by Moon (nine), Clark (seven), Bales (four), Anderson (two), May (one), Cox (one) and Kinsey Drury (one). Leading FHS in assists was Clark with 29, while others with assists were Anderson (four) and Hattan (one).
Hattan led the Lady Lions with 12 receptions, followed by Moon with seven and Bales with six. Others with receptions were Kinsey Drury (three), Stahlhut (two), Anderson (two), Jaeden Drury (one) and Clark (one).
Fairfield is now 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the SHAC.

Whiteoak drops SHAC match to North Adams
It took three sets for North Adams to defeat the host Whiteoak Lady Wildcats in Southern Hills Athletic Conference on Thursday.
WHS lost by scores of 25-11, 25-10, and 25-17.

Hillsboro stays undefeated; wins in 3 sets at Washington
In their Frontier Athletic Conference match on Thursday the Hillsboro Lady Indians won in three sets in Fayette County by defeating the Washington Lady Blue Lions by scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-22.
Samantha Tipton totaled a team-best 12 kills, followed by Tylee Davis totaling six kills. Ryan Wagoner ended the match with three kills, and with two kills each were Kayla Seeling and Camryn Spruell.
The aces total for Hillsboro was 10 in their win at WCH, as Davis totaled three to lead the team. Seeling, Tipton and Spruell each had two aces, and with one ace was Wagoner.
HHS had Tipton with two blocks and Spruell with one. The Lady Indians also had 56 digs with the leader being Davis at 23, while Seeling and Wagoner each had eight digs. Also with digs were Addison Huff with six, Jadi Howland with five, Tipton with three and Spruell with three.
Assists were collected for Hillsboro by Howland (one), Seeling (16), Wagoner (one), Tipton (one) and Huff (two).
The service receptions leader was Howland with 14, while Wagoner had seven. The rest of the service receptions were by Huff (nine), Davis (three) and Seeling (two).
Hillsboro now stands at 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the FAC.

Lady Tigers defeat Jackson, lose to Trimble
On Thursday, the McClain lady Tigers volleyball team defeated the Jackson Ironladies in Frontier Athletic Conference action for a five-set win.
MHS won sets two (25-19), four (29-27) and five (21-19). JHS won sets one at 25-20 and set three 25-19.
Saturday saw MHS lose on the road to Trimble two sets to one in an invitational played at Unioto High School.
McClain won set two at 25-14, but lost set one at 25-10 and set three 25-21.
Stats for both MHS matches weren’t available.

LCHS earns SHAC win against Fayetteville
Taking five sets, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs battled on the volleyball court for a big-time Southern Hills Athletic Conference win over the visiting Fayetteville Lady Rockets.
LCHS won sets three, four and five by scores of 25-18, 25-15, and 15-7. Fayetteville won the first two sets at 27-25 and 25-21.
Of the 49 kills earned by the Lady Mustangs, Kylie O’Connor and Halle Greene each had 12 kills, and Addy Carraher totaled 10 kills. Other LC kills were made by Mattie Magee (eight), Avery Shope (seven) and Melany Stephenson (one).
LCHS totaled 18 aces in their win as O’Connor had six and Shope finished with five. Joslyn Rockey finished with three aces, Addy Carraher had two and also with two aces was Ava McLaughlin.
O’Connor also had three blocks, and Magee finished with a block.
The Lady Mustangs also collected 85 digs as a team, with Rockey finishing with 19. Carraher had 16, McLaughlin totaled 13 and Shope added 10 digs. O’Connor ended the match with nine digs, and Ava Doughman totaled seven digs. There was also three digs by Stephenson, while Greene and Morgan Baker each finished with three and Magee had two.
The assists leader for LCHS was McLaughlin with 20, followed by Carraher with 17, Rockey with five, O’Connor with two and with one assist was Shope.
Rockey led the Lady Mustangs with 41 receptions, while Shope had 15. Also with service receptions were O’Connor (nine), Doughman (six), Greene (two) and Carraher (one).
LCHS is now 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the SHAC standings.

Lady ’Cats lose to North Adams
Friday night saw the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lose a SHAC volleyball match to the visiting North Adams Lady Green Devils in three consecutive sets.
WHS lost to North Adams by scores of 25-11, 25-10 and 25-17.
The loss moves WHS to 0-3 in the SHAC and 0-5 overall.
Stats were not available for WHS.
