Whiteoak Wildcats defeat Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs 

In a matchup of two Southern Hills Athletic Conference teams from Highland County, the Whiteoak Wildcats boys bowling team defeated the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs 2285-2156 at Highland Lanes. 

For the Wildcats their top scorer was Macaulay Wing at 384 (180, 204), and next was Shawn Mitchell-Cox with a score of 364 as his game totals were 169 and 195. Nicholai Wing finished with a score of 360 (168, 192). 

Connor Wiscarver had a total of 316 for WHS with games of 133 and 183. Gabe Ulrey had a game-one score of 204 for the Wildcats. 

For Lynchburg-Clay, their top scorer was Mason Brault at 437 (215, 222), and next was Tyler Partin at 339 (200, 139). The Mustangs had Tristin Puckett finish with a score of 315 (186, 129). 

LCHS also had Noah Aronhalt total a 304 pin total with scores of 149 and 155. AJ Brown ended game one with a 134 score, and Koen Collins had a game-two score of 98. 

The Mustangs’ Baker total was 454 (135, 190, 129).

Boys Bowling 
Lions falls to Rockets 

The Fairfield Lions lost a SHAC match to the visiting Fayetteville Rockets 2255-2161. In the match, the Lions were led by Raymond Gleadle at 356 with games of 192 and 164. 

FHS next saw Ethan Bartley score a 339 (164, 175), and teammate Joshua White finished at 286 with games of 149 and 137. 

The Lions also had a game-two score of 170 by Morgan Hughes and a game-two score of 140 by Noah Elridge. FHS saw a game-one score of 140 by Kobi Reid and a game- one score of 139 by Liam Hughes. 

Fairfield’s Baker score was 414 (132, 143, 139).

Lady ’Cats top Lynchburg-Clay 

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats defeated the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs by a 2011-1986 score Jan. 12 at Highland Lanes. 

Whiteoak’s leader in pin totals was Madison Davidson at 379, as her game scores were 196 and 183. Trulie Lamb finished with a score of 319 at 161 and 158. 

Olivia Michaels finished with a score of 310 with game scores of 156 and 154. Matalynn Conrad totaled a 299 score with a 157 and 142 scores. Siarra Kipp finished with a score of 244 (131, 113). 

Baker scores for Whiteoak was 457 with scores of 132, 156 and 169. 

Lynchburg-Clay was led by Kylee Chaney with a score of 394, as she had game scores of 222 and 172. The next top scorer was Kylie O’Connor at 365 (193, 172), and Maddie Brault scored 312 (140, 172). 

The Lady Mustangs also had a 255 score from Abby McGuire (133, 122), and Lizzie Shreve had a game-one score of 101. LCHS also had a sub score of 76. 

LC’s Baker scores were 483 with games of 158, 179 and 146.

Tigers defeat Washington 

The McClain Tigers earned a Frontier Athletic Conference win Thursday, Jan. 15 by defeating the Washington Blue Lions at LeElla Lanes by a score of 2348-2197. 

Facing the Blue Lions in Washington C.H., the Tigers’ high scorer was Cullen Beatty at 502 with scores of 268 and 234. 

Dartanyen Hooley finished with a score of 398 (211, 187), and next was Paul Royse at 356 (160, 196). Shayne Adams finished with a pin total of 293 (134, 159), and Evan Kinnison had a score of 289 (158, 131). 

McClain’s Baker scores of 175, 173, 162). Washington’s Baker scores were 152, 184, 146.

Wildcats defeat Fayetteville in SHAC contest 

The Whiteoak Wildcats added to their SHAC win on Thursday, Jan. 15 with a win over the visiting Fayetteville Rockets, 2152-2101. 

The win at Highland Lanes saw WHS led with a score of 391 by Shawn Mitchell-Cox (175, 216), and Nicholai Wing finished at 376 with scores of 183 and 193. 

Connor Wiscarver totaled a 361 score (188, 173), and next was Macaulay Wing at 298 (157, 141). The Wildcats also had Gabe Ulrey score a 112 in game one.

Whiteoak gains SHAC win against Fayetteville 

Whiteoak’s girls bowling team earned a conference win in the SHAC on Thursday (Jan. 15) by defeating the Fayetteville Lady Rockets at 2057-1947 at Highland Lanes. 

WHS has a leading score of 408 by Matalynn Conrad with games of 145 and 263. Madison Davidson finished with a total of 332 as her game scores were 194 and 138. 

Trulie Lamb had a score of 325 (152, 173), followed by Siarra Kipp at 285 (144, 141) and Olivia Michaels at 260 (139, 121). 

Whiteoak had a Baker score of 447 (134, 122, 191).

Lady Tigers fall to Washington 

Facing the Washington Lady Blue Lions at LeElla Lanes in FAC action, the McClain Lady Tigers lost by a 2199-2013 final score. 

McClain had a top score of 332 from Miya Cook with games of 170 and 162. Samantha Lancaster totaled a 288 score, as her game totals were 160 and 128. McClain also had Autumn Uhrig finish with a score of 277 (171, 106). 

Kaitlyn Snavely totaled a score at 270 for MHS with games of 145 and 125. Natalie Stroud gained a game-one total of 238, and MHS had a sub score of 142 in game two. 

McClain’s Baker scores were 155, 166 and 145 for a total of 466.

Lions gain SHAC win over Lynchburg-Clay

The Fairfield Lions earned a SHAC win against the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs at 2255-2161 at Highland Lanes on Friday, Jan. 16. 

Fairfield had Raymond Gleadle lead the way with a top score of 436 as he bowled a 171 and 265 scores in his two games played. Ethan Bartley followed at 364 with scores of 213 and 151. 

The Lions also had Morgan Hughes finish at 324 (144, 180), and Liam Hughes scored a 284 (159, 125). FHS also had a game two score of 203 by Joshua White, and in game one Kobi Reid scored a 127. 

Fairfield’s Baker score was 517 with games of 198, 162 and 157. 

For the Mustangs, Mason Brault led at 361 (153, 208), and next was Tyler Partin at 348 (149, 199). The Mustangs also saw Tristin Puckett score a 329 with games of 170 and 159. AJ Brown finished at 328 with games of 160 and 168. 

Lynchburg-Clay’s Noah Aronhalt scored a 322 at 161 and 161. The Mustangs had a Baker score of 473 (148, 166, 159).

LCHS tops Fairfield for SHAC win 

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs gained a SHAC win over Highland County rival Fairfield at Highland Lanes by a 2079-1191 score on Friday, Jan. 16. 

For the Lady Mustangs, they had Kylee Chaney lead at 386 with games of 183 and 203. Maddie Brault finished at 356, as her game totals were 198 and 158. Kylie O’Connor finished at 348 with games of 170 and 178. 

The Lady Mustangs also saw Abby McGuire total a 326 score (146, 180) and Lizzie Shreve totaled a 261 score (151, 110). 

Baker totals for Lynchburg-Clay were 146, 124 and 132 for a 402 score. 

Fairfield finished with Lilly Hilterbran leading at 226 (123, 103), and then it was Eloise Roehm with a final total of 204 (101, 103). FHS also had Zoey Carver finish at 193 (84, 109). McKenna Self had a score of 84 in game one, while Ellie Humphrey had a 72 score in game two. 

Fairfield’s Baker total was 251 with games of 73, 91 and 87.

Lady Indians take home non-conference victory over Unioto 

The Hillsboro Lady Indians were able to gain a non-conference victory against the host Unioto Lady Shermans on Jan. 20 as they defeated the hosts by a 1716-1561 score on Tuesday. 

The win at Shawnee Lanes saw HHS finish with a regular games total of 1585 with a Baker game score of 458 as their Baker numbers were 164, 163 and 131. 

Hillsboro’s top scorer was Rylie Ison at 345 with game scores of 179 and 166, while Madison Nichols was next in the scoring column at 341 (191, 150). 

HHS also had Sidney Bayless score a 307 final total with game scores of 155 and 152. Next came a pin total of 305 by Riley Clemons (180, 125), and Rylee Moyer finished at 287 (162, 125).

Indians win against Unioto at Shawnee Lanes 

Traveling to face the Unioto Shermans on Tuesday, Jan. 20, the Hillsboro Indians boys bowling team earned a non-conference win over the host Shermans 2411-2091. 

The Indians finished the match with 1841 regular game points and 570 Baker game points that consisted of 175, 212 and 183 scores. 

HHS was led by Cylas Everetts with a pin total of 388 as he had games of 198 and 190. Steven Rodgers followed with a 370 score with games of 173 and 197. Quentin Gall totaled a score of 365 (198, 167), followed by Camden Lively at 361 (166, 195) and Jay Reno with a 357 score (194, 163).

Indians take down host Blanchester 

The Hillsboro Indians gained another non-conference victory with a 2682-2323 at Royal Z in Wilmington on Wednesday, Jan. 21. 

Hillsboro’s leading scorer was Cylas Everetts at 401 (209, 192), and next was Jay Reno with a pin total of 390 (185, 205). 

Steven Rodgers finished at 384 (191, 193), and Quentin Gall totaled a 383 score at 217 and 166. Playing in game one, Camden Lively scored a 216, and HHS had a sub score of 192 in game two. 

HHS totaled a regular game score of 1966 and had a Baker score of 716 (180, 186, 131 and 219).

Hillsboro gains win against Blanchester 

Having a dominating effort on Wednesday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians defeated the host Blanchester Lady Wildcats at Shawnee Lanes by a 2543-1928 score on Wednesday evening. 

The Jan. 21 win saw Hillsboro be led in pin totals by Rylee Moyer at 377 with games of 177 and 200. Rylie Ison was the next-highest scorer at 371 as she collected game scores of 189 and 182. There was Madison Nichols with a score of 361 as her game totals came in at 202 and 159. 

The Lady Indians also had Cami Miller at 337 with game totals of 162 and 175. Sydney Baylees had a game one score of 214, while teammate Riley Clemons had a game two score of 166. 

In the Baker games, Hillsboro totaled a four-game total of 717 with games of 190, 172, 172, and 183. Hillsboro’s regular game total was 1826.

Lady Tigers defeat visiting Chillicothe 

On Thursday, Jan. 22 the McClain Lady Tigers defended their home lanes with a 1937-1854 win over the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers for a victory in the Frontier Athletic Conference.

MHS gained the win with a top score from Natalie Stroud at 358, as she totaled games of 155 and 203. Samantha Lancaster finished with a score of 323, as her pin totals from the regular games were 165 and 158. 

Next was Autumn Uhrig at 314 with games of 160 and 154, while teammate Miya Cook had a regular game total of 295 (137, 158). Kaitlyn Snavely finished with a score of 183 (106, 77). 

McClain’s regular game total was 1473, and their Baker game total was 464 (124, 177, 163).

Eastern wins against Whiteoak 

The Eastern Lady Warriors won at Community Lanes on Thursday by defeating the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats 2110-2081. 

Whiteoak’s leading score was Madison Davidson at 401 with games of 175 and 226. Matalynn Conrad finished at 377, as her game scores were 188 and 189. Olivia Michaels totaled a 305 score (144, 161), and next was Trulie Lamb at 304 (172, 132). Siarra Kipp finished with a score of 271 (157, 114). 

The Baker scores for WHS were 139, 147 and 137 for a total of 423. 

WHS now has a SHAC record of 7-1 in first place tied with LCHS and an overall mark of 9-2.

The SHAC game from Jan. 22 saw Whiteoak lose at the Georgetown Community Lanes against the Eastern Warriors by a 2343-1977 score. 

No individual scores for WHS were provided.

Hillsboro earns FAC win at Washington 

Going on the road for a third consecutive match, the Hillsboro Indians continued to add to their season win total, staying undefeated in the Frontier Athletic Conference with a 2681-2094 victory at LeElla Lanes. 

HHS was led on the lanes by Steven Rodgers with a 503 score with game pin totals of 246 and 257. 

Quentin Gall finished at 448 with scores of 245 and 203. Also for the Indians, Jay Reno had a pin total of 435 at 221 and 214. Cylas Everetts followed with a 387 score (225, 162). Camden Lively had a game-two score of 192, and HHS had a sub score at 167. 

In their Baker games, the Indians totaled 549 with games of 213, 179 and 157. 

The Indians are now 8-0 in the FAC and 14-0 overall.

McClain wins against Chillicothe 

The McClain Tigers hosted the Chillicothe Cavaliers and won by a 2097-1873 in FAC action at Highland Lanes.

McClain’s top scorer was Cullen Beatty at 455 as his game scores were 197 and 258. Evan Kinnson totaled a score of 311 with games of 134 and 177. Shayne Adams has a 265 score at 109 and 156. 

The Tigers also saw Jayden Lanning score a 187 (77, 110), and Dartanyen Hooley had a game-one score of 177. MHS also had a sub score of 151 in game two. 

MHS had a regular game total of 1546, and their Baker total was 551 (196, 168, 187).

Lady Indians take down Washington for FAC win 

Playing at LeElla Lanes in Washington C.H., the Hillsboro Lady Indians earned another victory in Frontier Athletic Conference action by defeating the host Washington Lady Blue Lions 2601-1964. 

Hillsboro earned the victory in FAC play by having a regular game score of 2061 and a Baker game score of 539 as the three scores in the Baker games were 162, 193 and 184. 

The Lady Indians' top pin total was Madison Nichols at 460 as she bowled a 224 score in game one and a 236 score in the second game. 

HHS saw Cami Miller finish with a score of 442 with game scores consisting of 193 and 249. Rylie Ison was next with a pin total score of 429 (192, 237), and teammate Rylee Moyer scored a 358 (190, 168). 

Hillsboro also had Sidney Bayless bowl a 226 in game two, and HHS had a sub score of 147 in game one. 

HHS now sits at 7-0 in the FAC and 14-0 overall.

McClain falls to Fayetteville

McClain lost a non-conference match on Saturday morning, falling to the Fayetteville Rockets at 2255-2071 at Highland Lanes. 

The Tigers’ scores included top scorer Cullen Beatty at 418 (214, 204), and next was Dartanyen Hooley with a pin total of 365 (183, 182). 

MHS also saw Evan Kinnison score 285 (132, 153), and next was Shayne Adams with a score of 268 (129, 139), and Jayden Lanning had a pin total of 228 (107, 121). 

McClain’s Baker game total was 508 (140, 187, 181). 

The Tigers are now 2-7 in the FAC and 2-11 overall.

McClain wins at Highland Lanes over Fayetteville 

The Lady Tigers of McClain gained a non-conference victory Saturday by defeating the Fayetteville Lady Rockets 1982-1844. 

McClain’s top scorer was Miya Cook at 360 with her regular game scores being 194 and 166. Natalie Stroud finished with a 338 score (172, 166), and then it was Autumn Uhrig at 294 with scores of 139 and 155. 

MHS also saw Samantha Lancaster total a 285 score at 160 and 125. In game two, Baylle Hickok scored a 105 for MHS, and teammate Kaitlyn Snavely scored a 103 in game one. 

McClain’s Baker total was 497 with scores of 188, 138 and 171. The regular-game score for the Lady Tigers was 1485. 

MHS is now 7-6 overall and 3-6 in the FAC.
