The abuse continues

It has gotten more sophisticated and more nuanced, but in today’s world, the abuse of women continues as it has forever in the past.
Take abortion. I am against abortion, for I am for the fetus. However, those who are pro-abortion or promote the right to choose, as they call it, do have a point. Either by charm or force, an unwanted pregnancy was likely initiated by a man.
I have heard women who have had an abortion talk about what trauma this caused them. These women didn’t really have a choice with a pro-choice stance; it was a difficult decision either way. By choosing the way they thought was easiest at the time, many are left with long-term mental issues.
We seldom talk about the role men play in the abortion question. I will – it is nothing but abuse. Simply, if a woman is getting an abortion, it is because she has no support from the man responsible.
Today, though, men have a new way of abusing women. I don’t think these men want to be called men, however. I am talking about the transgender crowd who wants to play women’s sports, shower with women and use women’s bathrooms.
It is curious, but we don’t hear of many cases of biological, transgender women jumping into men’s showers, do we?
So, this is just another form of abuse of women. Steal their womanhood, steal their virginity, steal their privacy and steal their right to compete in sports on a level playing field.
Why do women have a choice when it comes to abortion, but no choice when it comes to their sports and their showers? Can there be any more hypocrisy than this?
I believe there are men – weak men – behind all the issues listed above.
I have made it a quest in my life to surround myself with some very smart women. Many men seem to go for the visual, not the intellectual. Nothing wrong with the visual, but I find the intellectual very interesting.
The real problem in all these scenarios – it seems to me – is insecure men incapable of controlling their own emotions and urges. It seems like an insecure man, not a confident man, is more likely to abuse women in the ways outlined above.
This leaves women nothing but a plate of poor choices for the difficult decisions in life.
Chivalry is dead. Perhaps we should revive it.
