Wildcats soccer scores 15 goals en route to first win at new home field

Thursday, Aug. 20 was a memorable day for the Whiteoak Wildcats boys soccer program as they earned their first victory of the 2026 season, which was also their first regular season win on their new turf field at Whiteoak High School. 

Whiteoak’s win was a 15-0 victory over the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets. 

Six Whiteoak players scored goals in the match, including six goals (a double hat trick) scored by junior Christopher Wessner as he also collected an assist. 

Sophomore Lucas Pollard had a hat trick by scoring three goals against Wellston. Sophomore Jaden Fitzgerald and senior Abe Flader each scored two goals. 

Scoring one goal each for Whiteoak were senior Tre Lamb and freshman Brayden Stevens. Assists were credited to freshman Logan Barnett (two), Lamb (two), junior Evan Richmond, freshman Koltyn Spitznagel, and junior Gabriel Ullon. 

At goal in the shutout win was Spitznagel with five saves on the night. 

The win moves the Whiteoak overall record to 1-1-0 overall. 

Next on the schedule for the Wildcats is a road contest on Thursday, Aug. 27 in Southern Hills Athletic Conference (SHAC) play against the Eastern Warriors at 4:30 p.m.
