Western Local teacher wins DAR grant

Jennifer Buckler, a STEM teacher at Western Local Elementary in Pike County was the winner of a spring cycle junior membership $500 grant endorsed by Waw-wil-a-way Chapter, NSDAR.  

She wrote a grant for a greenhouse and plants that will impact the students.  

Only two grants are given by the Ohio DAR Society in a year.

DAR Chapter donates books to HCA

As part of the NSDAR’s three main principles of Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism, the Waw-will-a-way DAR Chapter recently collected children’s books of patriotic and historical topics to the Hillsboro Christian Academy.
