Three runs in the seventh inning put a positive spin on things for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs Friday afternoon. Though they did put runs on the board in the final inning, they came up just short as they lost their second game of the season, falling to Eastern Pike 8-3.

Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward told The Highland County Press Friday that the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the FAA are investigating the crash. Ward said the male pilot was killed. He said the pilot, John J. Winkelman, 46, was not the owner of the plane.
