SATH (Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped) will be once again sponsor the “Cutie Pie” and “Cutie Pet” contest during the Highland County Fair, Sept. 6-12.

Patriotic quilts to be auctioned off Aug. 1 at Patriot Public House
The Highlanders Sons of the American Revolution received two quilts to honor veterans, which will be auctioned off on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Patriot Public House in Hillsboro. The auction will take place after the Revolutionary War Monument dedication at 1 p.m. Aug. 1 on the lawn of the Highland County Courthouse.

Beyond the Call: A community event honoring those who served set for Oct. 10 at MHS
Beyond the Call is free and open to the community. It's a chance for neighbors, local businesses, and organizations to come together in one place, on one day, to say thank you – and to make sure the people who answer the call always have somewhere to turn when they need one answered themselves.
