Congressman Dave Taylor (OH-02) announced that Clermont County Sheriff Chris Stratton will join him as his guest at President Trump’s State of the Union Address. The address will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

Dwight Creek, 87, of Sugartree Ridge, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at his home.  

On Feb. 20 at 8:46 a.m., the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a shooting in the Rocky Fork Lake Region of Paint Township.  Upon arrival, a juvenile was taken into custody by deputies, according to Sheriff Randy Sanders.

The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA chapter took two of our members to AG Pro of Wilmington to compete in the AG Power Diagnostics CDE. Our two members that participated were Kenny Shawhan and Conner Atkinson. 

The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter on Feb. 11 had nine members participate at the Sub-District Public Speaking competition where it was hosted at McClain High School. 

On Feb. 5, seven of our FFA members attended the Speak to Lead contest hosted by the Wilmington Ag Ed Society at Wilmington College.
