Wilmington, Ohio -- Robin Pavey, registered nurse, is the new infection control nurse for CMH Regional Health System (CMH), joining the Performance Improvement department. She replaces Mandy Platt, registered nurse, who now works in Emergency Services.

B. Helen Meyers, 76, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away early Saturday morning, Dec. 26, 2009 at her residence in Hillsboro, Ohio.

A fatal shooting is under investigation in Marshall Township. At approximately 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, Hillsboro Fire and Rescue and the Highland County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Garch Road. According to Sheriff Ron Ward, the preliminary investigation "appears to indicate this was a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

NB&T Financial Group, Inc.("NBTF"), parent company of The National Bank and Trust Company ("NB&T") of Wilmington, has announced that on Dec. 18, the shareholders of Community National Corporation ("CNC"), parent company of Community National Bank of Franklin, approved the merger of CNC with NBTF, according to the terms of the merger agreement dated June 30, 2009, and amended Oct. 12, 2009, between the two companies.
