Dr. Christine Henry appointed to CMH Board of Trustees

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Dr. Christine Henry, a board-certified internal medicine physician and longtime member of the CMH Medical Staff, has been appointed to the CMH Regional Health System Board of Trustees. She replaces Dr. Tom Neville, of Wilmington, who is stepping down after completing his six-year term.

Church of Christ announces one-year 'hiatus' for HCCS, citing poor economy and improved Hillsboro City Schools
Last week, the leadership of the church met with the HCCS board to inform them that at the end of this school year the church will take at least a one year break from its sponsorship of the school. For the past few years, the school has been experiencing declining enrollment as well as cash-flow problems which has prompted the church's decision to take a break from this ministry.
Healthcare scholarship applications now available
Healthcare scholarship applications are now available through the Adena Health Foundation.  Adena's Healthcare Career Scholarship Program is made possible by the fundraising efforts of the Volunteer Advisory Council of Adena, The Women’s Board of Adena, general Healthcare Scholarships Endowment fund, the Gordon F. Streicher Memorial Scholarship fund, four named funds within the PACCAR Medical Education Center Scholarship Endowment fund, the Manchester Radiology Education Endowment fund, and the Volunteer Scholarship fund.  The named funds with the PACCAR Medical Education Center Scholarship Endowment fund are the following:  St. Mary’s Catholic church William Nolan Endowment; Junior Civic League Scholarship Endowment; Eagles Aerie 600 Herbie Retherford Memorial Endowment; and Stephen Fleisher Scholarship Endowment.
Proposals being accepted for Community Health Partner grants
The Adena Health Foundation is accepting proposals from non-profit organizations in area counties to initiate or improve projects that address health concerns of high importance to the region.
