Indians repeat as SCOL champions; defeat Tigers in 14 innings

In the game that seemed to never end, the Hillsboro Indians took over first place in the South Central Ohio League with a two-out bases loaded single by Garrett Bell, for a 10-9, 14-inning win over rival McClain at Shaffer Park Tuesday.

Final unofficial: 4-H, soil and water levies voted down
With all 31 precincts reporting, unofficially, the Ohio State University Extension  Cooperative was voted down with 3,508 votes against and 2,440 votes for the levy. The Soil and Water Conservation District Levy was voted down, with 3,848 votes against and 2,030 for.

Former pastor indicted on 17 counts
A former Greenfield pastor has been indicted on 17 counts after he allegedly stole funds from the Good Shepherd Church.
On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, a grand jury in Highland County Common Pleas Court issued a 17-count indictment against, James A. Blaine, age 61, currently of San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of Greenfield, related to a theft case involving the Good Shepherd Church in Madison Township, where he formerly served as pastor.
