Hillsboro FFA members compete at Mount Gilead contest

On February 21 nine members from the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA went to Mount Gilead to participate in the General Livestock, Poultry, and Equine judging contests.

On February 27, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter went to Perfect North tubing.

On March 7, Hillsboro Great Oaks member Adalyn Gaines competed at the State Extemporaneous Public Speaking. 
Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter donates to Wounded Warrior program
For the past three years, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter has hosted a countywide hoedown to raise money for anyone or an organization that was in need, and this year the chapter decided on the Wounded Warrior Program.

Greenfield Elementary fifth-graders’ art will go up for auction on the school’s Facebook page this week with proceeds to benefit Shriners Children’s. 
Sen. Husted leads bill to support family-owned farms
Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) introduced the USDA Loan Modernization Act. This bill would remove outdated eligibility barriers that prevent modern family farms from accessing U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) loan programs.
