Hillsboro FFA members compete at Mount Gilead contest

On February 21 nine members from the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA went to Mount Gilead to participate in the General Livestock, Poultry, and Equine judging contests. Rylea Scarberry, Delaina Southworth, and Cadence Hall participated in the Equine Judging Contest, where they identified horse breeds and equipment as well as judging classes of horses. Their team placed 17th in the contest. 

Kinley Jackson and Alexis Faulkner participated in the Poultry Judging contest, where they evaluated live birds and identified poultry parts. They placed 15th as a team. Finally, Claire Winkle, Brayden Cummings, Raeden Workman, and Camden Stroud participated on the General Livestock Judging team, where they evaluated 8 classes of Sheep, Swine, Goats, and Cattle. They placed 23rd as a team. Congratulations to all of our Mount Gilead Judging participants.
