ODOT crews getting ready for snowfall

A few road crews from District 9 of the Ohio Department of Transportation are out checking routes to make sure they are dry or at least not icing over from any wet spots, this morning.

Most drivers, however, are getting their trucks loaded with materials and getting prepared in anticipation of the predicted snowfall later today, said Kathleen Fuller, public information officer for District 9.

"Although it could start at any time, we're expecting it to move into this area (Brown/Adams/Highland counties) between 10 and 11 a.m., with the chance of precipitation and rate of accumulation growing steadily throughout the day before tapering off late tonight and tomorrow morning," Fuller said.

"The forecast service we use is predicting about four inches; however, some of the other forecasts have called for as little as two and as much as six inches."
