On May 26, the Hillsboro Garden Club met at the Katherine Zane Granger Floral Hall with President Nancy Baldwin calling the meeting to order after a short tour of the floral updating at the north entrance plots. Labeled plants were apricot tree, lemon sawara cypress bushes, stonecrop sedum, burro's tail, black-eyed susan, lilies of the valley, gardener's garters, labium purple bloom, catnip and others.

Dr. Ron Pedalino, a general surgeon and medical director of Clinton Memorial Hospital’s Wound Treatment Center since it opened in 2006, will begin seeing new wound patients one day a month at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, beginning July 13.
