Do you enjoy reading a good book? Read along with your Highland County Senior Citizens Center.
Jennifer West, director of the Highland District Library, will be leading a book discussion group at the center the first Wednesday of each month from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The group will select the books to read.

Pancake breakfast
The Highland County Senior Citizens Center is sponsoring a breakfast buffet from 6:30-8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 16.
Menu: sausage, bacon, scrambles eggs, biscuits & gravy, pancakes and beverages. Cost is $4. Community is welcome.

Dinner and dance
Join the Highland County Senior Citizens Center for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Saturday, March 17 at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door. Live band, line dancing, square dancing, all kinds of dancing! Call the center at 393-4745 for tickets and more information. Community is welcome.

Chair caning class
The Highland County Senior Citizen Center is offering chair caning classes.
Participants need to pay for their own supplies and a $5 classroom fee, which is donated to the center. Participants may purchase a stool kit for the class or bring their own chair that qualifies. Classes will be on Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are as follows: April 25, May 2, and May 9. Deadline for sign-up is April 5.
