Caretenders VNA-Fayette, formerly known as Fayette Home Health, is celebrating National Home Care Month by honoring their staff for a tradition of excellence and senior advocacy. The Highland County Board of Commissioners signed a proclamation for National Home Care Month at their Nov. 23 board meeting.

For 40 years, Jerry Haag Motors has proudly donated thousands of dollars to schools and organizations throughout Highland County. This December, Jerry Haag Motors is hoping to make the biggest donation yet. The dealership has set a goal to donate 15,000 non perishable food items to be donated to food pantries around Highland County.

Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeremy Shaffer received the latest permissive sales tax revenue report from Highland County Auditor Bill Fawley, which was presented at the Nov. 16 commission meeting. The county saw a decrease of approximately $93,000 in September collections, from the August tax numbers.
