Hillsboro Police Report

On Nov. 16, the Hillsboro Police Department investigated the following accident. At 10:10 a.m., Mark Mays of Goshen was traveling southbound on North West Street approaching West Beech Street. He was unable to stop at the stop sign due to excessive speed for the conditions. Mays entered the intersection and struck Brittany Wright of Hillsboro. Moderate damage was reported. Mays was cited for assured clear distance, and no injuries were reported.
On Nov. 15, the department was called to investigate a theft at Kmart. It was found that Tracy O'Cull of Hillsboro had concealed Coleman fuel and coffee filters in her purse. O'Cull was placed under arrest and taken to the Highland County Justice Center. During her intake search, it was found that she had a syringe in her bra that she admitted was used for drug use. O'Cull was arrested for theft and possession of a drug abuse instrument and a warrant.
