Enterprise Initiative Facilitator Sid Raisch guest speaker for Realtors

Highland County Enterprise Initiative Facilitator Sid Raisch was the guest speaker at the Nov. 17 Highland County Board of Realtors' luncheon at Ponderosa in Hillsboro.
The luncheon was sponsored by TechneTitle Agency, Inc., of Hillsboro.
Raisch encouraged Realtors and affiliates to have anyone interested in starting their own business to contact him. He has been working with several local businesses since becoming the enterprise initiative facilitator in November 2010.
"I meet with people who have an interest in starting their own business, help them find resources and network within the community," he said.
Raisch stressed the three key areas for business – product or service, marketing and financial management.

The enterprise initiative is based on the Sirolli Institute Enterprise Facilitation (www.sirolli.com) program and was implemented through the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Technical Assistance Grant.
According to Highland County Chamber of Commerce President Katy Farber when she introduced Raisch to the county commissioners last November, several people worked to secure a $95,000 grant to fund the program for Highland County business. Among those people were: Tony Logan of the USDA, Rep. John Carey, Jeff Spencer of the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission, current and former Southern State Community College Presidents Dr. Kevin Boys and Dr. Sherry Stout, respectively, and SSCC Dean of Corporate and Community Services John Joy.
• In other business, the Board of Realtors elected the following officers for 2012:
Robyn Coomer, president;
Josh Patton, past president;
Kelly Kimble, vice president;
Joe Mahan, Trudi Parry, Jack Pitzer and Diane Uhl, directors.
Ruth Robbins and Brigette Wagoner are current directors.
The Realtors' next meeting will be Dec. 15 at Alley 21.[[In-content Ad]]
