The Fairfield Lions eighth grade boys basketball team finished the season with a 10-3 record, claiming the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Division II title.

Though it seemed both teams were in a "foul mood" on Thursday as they combined for 48 fouls, it was the Fairfield Lady Lions who were all smiles at the conclusion of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference game, as they defeated the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats for the second time this season, this time winning by a score of 59-51.

Fourth-quarter heroics by senior Elijah Carmean was enough to put the Fairfield Lions into overtime at Fayetteville, but once the overtime was completed, the Lions were on the losing side, as they fell to the Rockets, 89-87 in their Southern Hills Athletic Conference matchup.

Fairfield senior Quentin Williams missed just six and a half quarters due to an wrist injury, but more than made up for it on Tuesday night. Not only Williams play in the final 13 minutes at Ripley, but he took over the game and propelled the Fairfield Lions to a 63-58 victory.
