Doug Ute, Executive Director of the Ohio High School Athletic Association, has named longtime Southwest Ohio school administrator John Kronour, Ph.D., as the OHSAA’s new Director of Sport Management. 

Following the conclusion of the swimming and diving state tournament Saturday night in Canton, the Ohio High School Athletic Association will conduct state tournaments this week in gymnastics and Division II bowling. 

Five referendum items have now been approved by the Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors to go to the member schools for a vote this spring, including a proposal that would allow schools to move up to Division I on a sport-by-sport basis if they desired to do so for that season.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association swimming and diving state tournament begins Tuesday at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton. It marks the first OHSAA state tournament of the winter sports season.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Pro Football Hall of Fame have announced a new three-year contract that will keep the OHSAA football state championships in Canton at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium through 2026. The agreement includes two option years. The current three-year contract is set to expire after this week’s state finals.
