About 30 members of the Ohio Army National Guard’s 1137th Signal Company, located in Springfield, are deploying to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
Residents and business owners near Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in the Ravenna area may notice an increase in blast noise from the area. Explosives and hand grenades will be used during training conducted Wednesday through Sunday, April 10-14.
