McClain’s Chandler 5th at FAC No. 4 event at Hillsboro Elks

The fourth installment of the Frontier Athletic Conference boys golf matches took place at the Hillsboro Elks on Monday, Aug. 24 where McClain junior Connor Chandler placed fifth overall in the boys standings.

Chandler finished with a fifth place individual score of 40 for the 9-hole golf event.

In the team standings McClain was sixth place with a team score of 207, while the Hillsboro Indians were fifth overall as a team with a 179 score.

Jackson won Monday’s team event with a score of 163, followed by Miami Trace with a 171 score for second place. In third was Washington at 172 and fourth place went to Chillicothe who carded a score of 176.

Hillsboro’s individual score included: sophomore Hunter Seeling (42), senior Charlie Starks (44), junior Brody Kelch (46), senior Conner Kelch (47), sophomore Kyle Thoroman (51) and senior Logan Barton (52).

McClain’s score were: junior Connor Chandler (40), junior Zander Lyons (46), junior Haydn Faulconer (57), junior Rilan Ballein (64), and sophomore Jax Vanzant (68).
