McClain girls golf places 3rd; HHS 5th at FAC No. 4 golf match

The fourth match of the Frontier Athletic Conference in girls golf took place on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at The Greens which was hosted by Miami Trace.

Winning the FAC No. 4 event with an individual score of 42 was Chillicothe freshman Allie Johnson.

The team champion of the event was Chillicothe with a score of 197, followed by Miami Trace with a score of 202. McClain placed third at 225, followed by Jackson in fourth place with a team score of 226. Hillsboro placed fifth with a score of 227. Washington had a score of 132 with three golfers as their team score didn’t qualify for the final standings.

Scores for McClain included: freshman Stella Henson (56), senior Hailey Cornett (56), freshman Palmer Mitchell (56), sophomore Carley Buhrman (57), senior Autumn Uhrig (65), and sophomore Joanie Shrout (66).

Hillsboro’s scores included: senior Carey Skeens (51), sophomore Raeden Workman (54), freshman Kaydence Butler (61), junior Brianna Foxx (61), and junior Ella Walch (68).
