Less than 24 hours after Iran and President Donald Trump touted the Strait of Hormuz open, the Islamic Republic has reportedly reversed course, closing the vital waterway.

“During my years as attorney general, not a single sentence has been carried out – a mockery of the justice system and of the dead and their families,” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said. “For the worst-of-the-worst killers, Ohio is wandering in a wilderness of lawlessness and desert of justice.”

When I was a little boy, my dad snookered me into lawn mowing by suggesting this is an activity “big boys do.”  

Indictments filed this week by the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost accuse eight Medicaid providers of stealing a combined $181,512 from the government health-care program for the needy. A ninth provider faces charges for allegedly stealing a client’s debit card.

Ohio senators are thinking outside the box to encourage new power generation in the state. In a committee hearing this week, they took up one bill establishing a community power pilot program and another allowing what’s known as virtual net metering.

I am grateful to this bountiful country for allowing me in, and to its generosity for allowing me to try. I am grateful that it isn’t dominated by one city or one culture. I am grateful that at its best, it shines as the North Star for the world.

The announcement comes shortly after the president and Iranian officials said the Strait of Hormuz fully reopened, following Iranian officials' confirmation that the reopening was due to the ceasefire in Lebanon.
