Two new drop-off locations for residential recycling
Highland County Recycling has announced that they have added two new drop-off locations for residential recycling.  Residents will now find drop-off containers in Sinking Spring at the Brushcreek Fire House, and in Mowrystown at the old feed mill on West Main Street/Rt. 321.  “We are trying to make household recycling as convenient as possible for our residents” reports Dori Bishop, Outreach Specialist at Highland County Recycling.  These recycling boxes are for residential use only.  Schools, businesses and industries may contact Dori Bishop at 393-4080 for alternative resources for recycling.
ODOT dispatches all available crews
All available crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 continue working to treat, plow and clear the state highway system of snow and ice. Precipitation varies from flurries to a light snow, and the rate of accumulation has diminished. In much of the District 9 area, routes are lightly to partly snow covered, with some spot locations of clear pavement.

Next wave of storm arrives; low temperatures, high winds move in
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 will be working during the overnight hours; however, roads may be mostly snow covered for early morning motorists. The next wave of this week's snowstorm has moved into the area, and additional snow accumulation is expected through Wednesday afternoon. Along with additional precipitation, wind gusts are likely to cause blowing and drifting snow.
