Council considers leasing building for police storage

The Hillsboro City Council considered a lease agreement proposed by Hillsboro Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt for a structure for storage of police department property during their regular session May 10. After council stalled in making a decision, Holt said that he would lease the building on a month-to-month basis.

Throckmorton sentenced to five years on meth charge
A Paint Township man who was arrested in March after he was allegedly discovered with a meth lab in his home during a visit from Highland County Children Services has pleaded guilty to an amended charge, and was sentenced to five years in prison.
