Wilmington OSHP Post investigating three-vehicle fatal crash
WILMINGTON – The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle fatal crash.
The crash occurred today, Aug. 9, at approximately 11:02 a.m., on state Route 73 near Mile Post 6, Union Township, Clinton County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 1998 Dodge Ram, operated by Anton Laskowski III, 19, of Indiana, was traveling westbound on state Route 73. A 2023 Buick Enclave, operated by Lisa Bush, 56, of Maineville, was traveling eastbound on state Route 73. Mr. Laskowski failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle causing him to go left of center striking Ms. Bush’s vehicle head-on.
A 2021 Ford F-250 operated by David Roeper, 76, of Florida, was traveling westbound on state Route 73 behind Mr. Laskowski. Mr. Roeper struck debris in the roadway as a result of the crash disabling his vehicle at the scene.
Ms. Bush was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. Mr. Laskowski was transported by air ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries. Mr. Roeper was uninjured.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Wilmington Fire and EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wilmington Post.
