Hillsboro, OH – Merchants National Bank (MNB) is proud to announce its expansion into Cedarville, Ohio, bringing its relationship-focused approach to a community that has been without a local bank since 2024.
MNB will open a branch at 74 N. Main Street within the historic Cedarville Opera House, which is currently undergoing a $12.5 million renovation funded through the Ohio Arts Council. The branch will initially operate with limited hours as it begins serving the community, with an ATM located at 129 N. Main Street to provide additional convenience.
As a community bank, MNB is committed to providing more than financial services - it actively reinvests in the communities it serves through local decision-making, community involvement, and long-term partnerships. The Cedarville location will build on this commitment by supporting local business, organizations, and residents while helping strengthen the local economy.
“Cedarville represents an opportunity for us to make a meaningful difference,” said Denise Fauber, President and CEO of Merchants National Bank. “We are excited to bring community banking back to the village and look forward to investing in Greene County in ways that support growth, relationships, and long-term success.”
MNB anticipates the Cedarville Branch opening in the first quarter of 2027.
