Main Street Downtown Greenfield invites community to Main Street Mixer & Open House
Main Street Downtown Greenfield is inviting the community to come together for an evening of connection, collaboration, and fun at the upcoming Main Street Mixer, taking place Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the Main Street office, 324 Jefferson Street in Greenfield.
This open house and community mixer offers residents, business owners, and local leaders the chance to meet Main Street members, enjoy light refreshments, and learn how to get involved in the organization’s mission to revitalize and celebrate Greenfield’s historic downtown.
“This event is all about connecting people to purpose,” said Shari Royse-Bellar, President of Main Street Downtown Greenfield. “We’ve accomplished so much in the past year, and now we’re ready to grow, but we need more hands, ideas, and energy from the community to keep the momentum going.”
Main Street Downtown Greenfield has made remarkable progress across its committees in 2025, completing a T-Mobile Multi-Cultural Grant project that funded a 60-foot-wide C.R. Patterson and Sons storyboard and timeline, complete with lighting and benches. MSDG is also working on completing a “Path to Freedom” Walking Tour featuring nine storyboards highlighting Greenfield’s abolitionist history, earned a spot on the Ohio Mural Trail, and continues to host beloved community events such as Shop Hops, Mulligan Madness, Bourbon & Bliss, the Christkindlmarkt and Cookie Walk.
The Mixer will also highlight Main Street’s current initiatives, including planning a student incentive program with McClain schools, expanding its Quarterly “Let’s Connect” networking events, and developing a strategic plan to guide the organization’s growth into 2026.
Main Street is currently seeking volunteers to serve on committees focused on design, promotion, organization, and economic vitality. Each committee plays an essential role in improving downtown’s look, energy, and opportunities, from beautification and business support to planning events and building community spirit.
“If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this is your moment,” Royse-Bellar added. “Even one hour a month helps move our mission forward, and you’ll have fun doing it.”
